CDLM – Just Call It Super Fast

EnvisionTEC launched Continuous Digital Light Manufacturing (CDLSM)technology in early 2016 with the Micro Plus cDLM. It’s based on a patent-protected approach EnvisionTEC came up with a decade ago. A twist on our DLP technology, this process allows for continuous motion of the build plate to deliver exceptional build speeds.

EnvisionTEC’s patented new breakthrough technology, Continuous Digital Light Manufacturing, allows jewelers to 3D print models for direct investment casting in minutes rather than hours.

The Micro Plus cDLM relies on continuous motion of the build plate in the Z direction to provide exceptionally fast builds and breathtaking resolution for castable models in EnvisionTEC’s industry standard casting material, PIC 100. The Micro Plus cDLM will also print even faster in QView, a design verification material, for fit and design models ready to show to a customer in minutes.

Time is money, and with average build speeds ranging between 10 and 20 minutes per inch in Z for the full envelope, the results will allow bridal and fashion rings to be designed, grown, and ready for investment casting the same day.

VIDA HD cDLM

Vida cDLM

The Perfactory Vida cDLM is a high-speed continuous 3D printer for the jewelry, dental and general manufacturing markets. This printer is offered using EnvisionTEC’s patented Continuous Digital Light Manufacturing (cDLM) technology and offers high resolution combined with blazing speeds. In addition, the technology also reduces the need for support structures during 3D builds, meaning less finishing is necessary. The larger build envelope allows for larger parts or higher productivity without sacrificing speed.

This groundbreaking technology allows for disruptive printing across a range of industries including: Dental, Jewelry and Manufacturing.

As with all EnvisionTEC technologies, the Vida cDLM delivers outstanding surface quality with no signs of stairstepping.
