Hardware

Industrial grade performance starts with an all-aluminum unibody enclosure built around an ultra-flat gantry system. Add a machined aluminum stage with kinematic bed coupling, and a precision ground print platform. T hen close the loop with software – instrumenting each machine with a full sensor suite including motor encoders and a calibration laser so accurate it can compensate for single digit changes in room temperature.

Laser Precision – With a built-in laser micrometer, the X7 automatically scans the print bed with 1um accuracy to generate a contour map of its surface. By calibrating its measurements with extrusion readings to perfectly set nozzle height and active topography adjustment, the X7 ensures your prints come out exactly how you want them.

Usability – Cloud-connected software and a 4.3” touchscreen comes standard with every printer, washer and furnace. Regular over-the-air updates mean that your Markforged products keep getting better. Material usage tracking and out-of-material detection help monitor your printers and reduce waste. Just a few of the ways we’re working to reduce the distance from design to part.

Technology

FFF (Fused Filament Fabrication) – Featuring a single print head designed uniquely to create parts with our Onyx chopped carbon fiber filament.

Design – CAD your part, upload the STL, and select your material (Onyx). The cloud-based software does the rest making printing the right part easy.

Slice – The single material system crafts the composite part one layer at a time.
